Solaryx vs Planity

Planity is a booking and agenda platform for hair and beauty salons. Solaryx is management software for tanning salons that also drives the beds. Both fill an agenda. Only one runs a solarium.

The short answer

For a hair or beauty salon, Planity is a serious option. For a solarium, the part that matters most is missing: it does not start or stop your beds, it keeps no phototype file with a signed declaration, and it does not enforce the interval Belgian law puts between two sessions. You would still need a second tool and a member of staff watching a clock.

Where Planity is the better choice

It has a consumer platform

People browse and book from the Planity app and website, which can bring you faces you would never have reached. Solaryx has no marketplace: it fills your agenda from your own website, your reminders and your counter.

It covers hair and beauty out of the box

If your business is mainly cuts, colour or nails with a sunbed on the side, Planity is designed around that trade and has a large installed base in France and Belgium.

Where Solaryx is the better choice

Four things a salon software written for hairdressers cannot do for a solarium.

The beds are part of the software

Relay boxes installed in your salon start each bed, run exactly the time that was sold, then ventilate. No member of staff watches a clock, no free minutes are given away, and a session can never run longer than what the customer paid for and the law allows.

Belgian compliance is built in, not a checklist

Phototype assessment, the signed customer declaration, the minimum interval between two sessions and eID reading all happen at the counter, automatically. When the rules change, we build the change into the product and it reaches you through the included updates.

One system instead of three

Booking, point of sale, products and stock, loyalty, staff planning and reporting run in a single tool, on a single customer file, across every one of your sites. Nothing to reconcile at the end of the day between an agenda, a till and a spreadsheet.

A Belgian price from a Belgian team

A fixed subscription per salon, no commission on your bookings and no cut on your new customers. Invoicing, VAT and accounting exports follow Belgian rules, and support answers in French, Dutch, German or English.

Questions we get

You could, but you would pay twice for the same agenda and split your customer file in two. Salons that move over keep one system: bookings, counter, beds and compliance in the same place, so the numbers at the end of the day always agree.

Yes. Your customer list and your future appointments are imported as part of the setup. Depending on your current provider and what it lets you export, migration is either included or billed once per site, confirmed with your quote.
